3 Generations...
Over Thanksgiving I was able to spend the week at home in Memphis with my Dad's family. I got a phone call the Sunday before Thanksgiving that my best friend's (Loren) father passed away, so I made an impromtu trip to Memphis. The circumstances for the trip were pretty devastating, however, I did have a wonderful time being back home and spending the week with my family. Dad had a houseful of guests over Thanksgiving week. My cousins and I talked him into 4-Wheeling at 1 o'clock in the morning, in the rain, but we had the best time!! After waking 2 of Dad's neighbors, intentionally, (they were good sports and some of them joined us!) we went off into the swamps. Chris and Eliana got totally soaked in mud, but Dad and I managed to come back clean from the knees up. It was really cold out that night so after our adventure in the woods, we got into the hottub and had a fun time visiting. There's nothing like a HOT hottub, outside, in 30 degree weather. Anyway, it was a great trip and I had a lot of fun seeing everyone that I hadn't seen in years. Sam had a good Thanksgiving in Pennsylvania. He spent the day with the Adcock family. After eating lunch he, Bob, and Ashley rode 5 or 6 horses for the extended family. I think everyone had a good time at the barn. I heard they didn't go home until 3 or 4 am! Good times... Sam picked me up from the airport when I got home and we drove through Hershey, PA. For those of you who don't know, that's where the chocolate is made. They present a major Christmas lights show and it was really pretty to see. We're going to try to go back soon to check out the chocolate factory.
