A Baby is on the way!

OK, so it is official, Sam and I are expecting a little one!

My first doctor's appointment was yesterday and my new doctor confirmed that a baby is on the way. She tells me that I am already 7 1/2 to 8 weeks along and that we can expect the baby to be here in mid November.

We have been asked a lot of questions so I will try to answer some of them here...

Are you going to find out if it's a boy or girl?
Well, this has been such a whirlwind that Sam and I have not been able to discuss many details, we have just been absorbing it all. However, I would think that, yes, we are going to find out, and as soon as we do, you guys will be the first to know!

Do you want a boy or girl?
It does not matter to me. I only want a healthy baby! God knows what we need so I trust his decision. (I did hear Sam slip last night in the midst of conversation with some friends and say "I kind of hope it's a little girl.") :) awww...

What are you going to name it?
If it's a boy, I am 99% sure that we have agreed to name it after Sam- Samuel Rowland McLaughlin, III. We are not sure what we will call him though. If it's a girl, we have no clue. This is something else that we haven't had much time to discuss with each other. Any suggestions are welcomed!

How in the world are you 2 months along and did not know you were PG?
Haha!! Your guess is as good as mine! When you are not planning and expecting something, you just don't look for the signs I guess.

I am going to have an ultrasound in the next week to confirm a due date. My next doctor's appointment is April 29th and we should hear a heartbeat then. I was a little queasy for about 5 days last week but for the past 2 days I have felt perfectly fine. I am praying that it will be like this for the next 7 months! So, that is our news for now. I will keep you updated on our progress!
